# Connected companies: ownership structure and personal ties

Parent and subsidiary companies, shared people in management and company owners in the BizMachine MCP connector.

*Updated: 6 October 2026*

The BizMachine MCP connector shows the companies connected to a company: the parent company, subsidiaries and companies that share a person in management. It also returns the owners, tells you how strong each tie is and estimates the size of the group. In ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot Studio, just write: "For the company \[Company ID], find the connected companies."

### Before you start

* **Replace the text in square brackets with your own values.** In most prompts, that is `[Company ID]`. The last question below also uses `[amount]`, `[country]` and `[name]`.
* **The sample answers are shortened.** They come from September and October 2026, and the answer you get today may differ.

### See a customer's whole group at once

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
For the company [Company ID], find the connected companies and the owners. Which owners are domestic and which are foreign?
```

{% endcode %}

You get the parent company, the subsidiaries and the companies with a shared person in management all at once, including shares and roles. You do not have to go through the profiles one by one.

![The group around the company LINET (as of October 2026): the parent company LINET Group SE (Netherlands, 100%), the subsidiaries MŠ Linetka and EuroHealth Global Projects with its own subsidiary EuroHealth Global Projects PNG, and two companies linked only through a shared executive or statutory role.](https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a10cba86a45f135c94f158ce7a0d30b3fed33ad8%2Fpropojene-firmy-skupina-linet.png?alt=media)

### Get totals for the whole group, not one company

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
For the company [Company ID], find the connected companies and add up how many vehicles they operate.
```

{% endcode %}

You can replace the end of the question with "how many premises they have" or "how many e-shops they run". The connector goes through the profiles of the companies in the group and adds up the figures. For a large group this takes longer, and each profile costs credits.

![Operated vehicles, the group around Kofola ČeskoSlovensko (as of October 2026): the company alone 108, the company and 20 subsidiaries together 822. Vehicle data is known for 9 of the 20 subsidiaries, so the total is an estimate.](https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-b1da65ef05825212998952e7e95080dbfc5aece8%2Fpropojene-firmy-vozidla-skupina-kofola.png?alt=media)

### See what has changed across the group

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
For the company [Company ID], find the connected companies and, for those with a strong tie, tell me what has changed at each of them in the last 12 months.
```

{% endcode %}

The connector combines the ties with company signals, so you also see changes at the other companies in the group.

You can also monitor the group on an ongoing basis: signals include the category "Change in connected companies", so save the group to a label (see the last question below) and ask which companies in that label have had this signal in the last 90 days.

![SANTA-TRANS, a company with a strong tie to Kofola ČeskoSlovensko (as of October 2026): 5 signals in the last 12 months, including a key role change and the publication of financial statements.](https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-75e9c169045cff35a138cf2d111d8b3862264f9d%2Fpropojene-firmy-signaly-santa-trans.png?alt=media)

### What limitations to expect

* **Direct ties and one more level.** Direct ties, plus the ties of the five largest companies that have a strong tie. The connector does not determine the ultimate parent company.
* **Current state only.** The connector does not return ties that have ended.
* **You cannot use ties as a search filter.** You always get the ties for one specific company.
* **The lists are capped.** 30 direct and 30 indirect ties in the summary, 100 in the detailed list (as of September 2026). The counts are calculated from all the companies found, including those that did not fit in the list.
* **The group estimate is not a set of consolidated accounts.** When the companies report in more than one currency, we do not return a total.

### Where is the data available, and where does it come from?

As of September 2026, connected companies are available in all five countries BizMachine covers: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Germany. The data comes from public registers, and we continuously collect and verify it. We return the names of people in management and owners as they are registered.

### Frequently asked questions

**Why do I see a different number than on the company profile in Prospector?** The profile counts only direct ties and lists sister companies separately. The connector also adds the ties one level further. For Kofola ČeskoSlovensko, the profile shows 28 connected companies and the connector shows 41 (as of September 2026).

**How do I check whether two companies are connected?** Ask about one pair: "Company A is \[Company ID] and company B is \[Company ID]. Are they connected in any way, and who connects them?" The connector goes through the ties of company A and checks whether company B is among them.

**Why is the group size only an estimate?** We add up only the companies found, each once, and their statements may not be from the same year. The total includes companies from every type of tie, including municipally owned companies and associations.

**Can I save selected companies from the group to a label?** Yes. "For the company \[Company ID], find the connected companies. Pick those with revenue above \[amount] and a registered office in \[country] and save them to the label 'Group \[name]'." The label is created directly in Prospector.
