# Vehicle fleets in the MCP connector

Find Czech and Slovak companies by their vehicles, look at one company's fleet and open a vehicle's detail by VIN.

*Updated: 26 October 2026*

The fleet data on Czech and Slovak companies that you know from Prospector can also be used in the MCP connector. Ask your AI assistant and it finds companies by vehicle make or age, shows how many vehicles a company runs and how it buys them, and lists the individual vehicles. For example, write: "What does the fleet of company \[company ID] look like?"

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f20a7e258bffabde9c599cbddb8ddc8e4e53e9d4%2Fvozovy-park-postup.png?alt=media" alt="Four steps of working with fleets in the MCP connector: step 1 search for companies by vehicles, step 2 analysis of one company&#x27;s fleet, step 3 vehicle list, at most 20 at a time, step 4 detail of one vehicle by VIN. ### Before you start

* **Replace the text in square brackets with your own values.** In the prompts in this article these are `[company ID]`, `[VIN]`, `[region]`, `[district]` and `[month]`.
* **It works for companies from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.** For Polish, Hungarian and German companies, neither the MCP connector nor Prospector offers vehicle data.
* **By assistant we mean ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot Studio or Gemini Enterprise.** The connector supplies the numbers. The assistant builds the answer and, where needed, an estimate. The result also depends on the model: stronger models handle more data at once.
* **Summary first, detail later.** Answers cost credits. Ask to see the summary counts first and move on to the vehicle list and detail only when a company's fleet interests you.
* **The sample answers are shortened.** The samples are from October 2026 and concern one real Czech company that the article does not name. Today's answer may differ.

***

### Step 1: Find companies by the vehicles they operate

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Find Czech companies that operate a Land Rover Defender bought as new.
```

{% endcode %}

The assistant looks up the make and model code in the connector, just as you would pick it in Prospector, and returns the companies that operate such a vehicle today. You can save the result to a label right away.

Other questions that work the same way:

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Which companies in [region] have at least 20 Škoda vehicles first registered before 2020?
```

{% endcode %}

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Which companies in [region] acquired a used van in the last 12 months?
```

{% endcode %}

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Find companies that operate at least three Škodas aged 5 to 7 years, bought as new, in the district of [district].
```

{% endcode %}

This finds companies whose Škodas are probably at the end of their depreciation period. Adjust the age range in the question to match the usual depreciation period.

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Find companies that operate a Land Rover with a mileage between 101,000 and 150,000 km in the district of [district].
```

{% endcode %}

If you run a service center, this finds companies whose vehicles most likely drive in your area and have high mileage. You can then list the specific vehicles with their VINs for each company separately (Step 3).

**What you can search by:**

* make and model (a make covers all its models)
* category: passenger cars, trucks and vans, other
* fuel type
* year of first registration, that is, the vehicle's age
* acquisition date
* whether the company bought the vehicle as new, one year old or used
* whether the company owns it or operates it
* premium makes and models
* how many such vehicles the company has
* for Czech companies also:
  * vehicle type and body (a tipper, for example)
  * last known mileage band
  * estimated operating area: the district or region where the vehicle most likely drives (based on where it goes for technical inspections)

**The operating area applies to the vehicle, not the company.** A company with a nationwide fleet (an insurer, a bank, the road administration) has vehicles across the whole country, so it also appears in a search "in your area". If you want companies that also have their registered office in your area, add the region of the registered office to the question.

**All conditions describe one vehicle.** "Škoda and electric" finds companies with an electric Škoda, not companies that have a Škoda and, separately, an electric vehicle. The vehicle count includes only vehicles that meet the other conditions: "at least 20 Škodas first registered before 2020" means 20 such Škodas, not 20 vehicles of which some are Škodas. When you need two different vehicles, ask two questions.

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-66967944b1abfc6cbfd3d69febf554259b6b5ca0%2Fvozovy-park-jedno-vozidlo.png?alt=media" alt="The one-vehicle rule, shown with the question &#x27;companies with an electric Škoda&#x27;: company A with an electric Škoda Enyaq is in the results, company B with a diesel Škoda Octavia and an electric Tesla Model 3 is not, because none of its vehicles meets both conditions at once."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;

**Slovakia:** search works, but without vehicle type and body, the mileage band or the operating area.

### Step 2: Look at one company's fleet

#### You want a quick picture of what the company drives

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
What does the fleet of company [company ID] look like?
```

{% endcode %}

You get vehicle counts by category (passenger cars, trucks, trailers and others), their typical age and the most common makes separately for passenger cars and for trucks. A make that dominates among vans therefore does not show up among the most common passenger car makes.

Sample answer (October 2026): the company owns 12 vehicles and operates 11. The fleet consists of 11 passenger cars and 1 trailer. Most common passenger car makes: Škoda (3), Hyundai (2). Typical age of passenger cars 7 years, the youngest under a year, the oldest 27 years.

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f291d15ccef4399fdee346c3c578204a553ce6be%2Fvozovy-park-ukazka-souhrn.png?alt=media" alt="Fleet of the sample company (October 2026): 11 passenger cars and 1 trailer up to 750 kg. Most common passenger car makes: Škoda 3, Hyundai 2, Fiat, Mazda and Peugeot one each. Typical age of passenger cars 7 years, the youngest under a year, the oldest 27 years."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;

#### You are deciding whether to offer new or used vehicles

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Does company [company ID] buy new, one-year-old or used vehicles? And which makes and models dominate there?
```

{% endcode %}

You see how the company acquires vehicles and how old they are at the time of acquisition. The makes and models tell you which competitors are already supplying the company.

Sample answer: 10 vehicles bought as new, 1 bought as used at the age of one year, and for 1 vehicle the acquisition type is not recorded. Passenger car makes: Škoda, Hyundai, Fiat, Mazda, Peugeot. Registrations in recent years: one vehicle each in 2022, 2024, 2025 and 2026.

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-b6a2549962301960f7a6b3ad35c918ef40f31bb4%2Fvozovy-park-ukazka-porizeni.png?alt=media" alt="How the sample company acquires vehicles (October 2026): 10 new, 1 used at the age of one year, for 1 vehicle the acquisition type is not known. Year of registration with the company: 8 vehicles 2021 and earlier, one each in 2022, 2024, 2025 and 2026."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;

#### You want to build the statistics yourself

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Break down the vehicles of company [company ID] by make and fuel type. Passenger cars only.
```

{% endcode %}

The connector works like a pivot table. You pick one or two ways to split the vehicles (make, model, category, fuel type, status, acquisition type, leasing, registration year, first registration year). You can also narrow the selection, for example to Škodas only or to the years 2020 to 2026. You get counts and shares, or age and holding period.

#### You are estimating when the company will renew its fleet

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Is company [company ID] going to renew its fleet this year? Why do you think so?
```

{% endcode %}

The connector returns two numbers side by side: how old the vehicles in the fleet are today and at what age vehicles left the fleet before. The assistant compares them and estimates whether a renewal is due soon. When only a few vehicles left the company's fleet in the past, the assistant points out that the estimate is only indicative.

Want to know which vehicles those will be? Ask directly:

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Which vehicles of company [company ID] are most likely due for replacement, and why?
```

{% endcode %}

Along with the estimate, the assistant lists the oldest vehicles the company operates today (Step 3).

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-55d99946290bfa54c328fb3872ec0f674cec2362%2Fvozovy-park-ukazka-obnova.png?alt=media" alt="Fleet of the sample company (October 2026): 11 passenger cars have a typical age of 7 years today, 81 vehicles that left the fleet before were on average 5.6 years old when they left (high reliability). Today&#x27;s vehicles are typically older than those the company sold or retired before."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;

#### You offer financing, leasing or vehicle buy-back

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Does company [company ID] own its vehicles, or does it only operate them? How many of them are on financial leasing?
```

{% endcode %}

You get the number of vehicles the company owns and, separately, the number it operates. For the operated vehicles you also see how many are recorded as being on financial leasing. For the other vehicles the data does not show the financing, so the real share of leasing may be higher.

Sample answer: the company owns 12 vehicles and operates 11. Of the operated vehicles, 3 are on financial leasing.

A leasing company may own tens of thousands of vehicles and operate only a fraction of them. Even the operated vehicles are not necessarily used by the leasing company itself: vehicles on operating leasing stay registered to it even though the customer drives them. For a leasing company, the assistant points out this difference.

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4afcbf9acbaed9e923aa4fa3c3ec93d124ab598e%2Fvozovy-park-operativni-leasing.png?alt=media" alt="Operating leasing: the leasing company both owns and operates the vehicle. In the connector it is registered to the leasing company and you do not see it at the customer. Financial leasing: the leasing company is the owner, the customer is the operator with a leasing flag and becomes the owner after the final payment."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;

#### You are considering offering electric vehicles to the company

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Would electric vehicles be a good offer for company [company ID]? What fuel types do the vehicles it registered in recent years use, and is that changing?
```

{% endcode %}

The assistant sees today's share of electric vehicles and hybrids as well as the fuel type of the vehicles the company registered in each of the last five years. From that you can tell whether the company is gradually moving to electric vehicles.

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8dedc919bd56fc5e328cb191b65bd5a277d237a1%2Fvozovy-park-ukazka-pohon.png?alt=media" alt="Fuel type of the sample company&#x27;s vehicles by year of registration with the company (October 2026): 8 diesel, 3 petrol, 1 trailer with no engine. Vehicles registered in 2024 to 2026 run on diesel, no electric vehicle or hybrid."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;

#### You are approving a fleet discount

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Company [company ID] is asking for a fleet discount. How many vehicles does it operate, and of which makes? Does it buy new, one-year-old or used vehicles?
```

{% endcode %}

Before you approve the discount, check how many vehicles the company operates according to the register and whether that matches what the dealer or the customer says about it. Vehicles on operating leasing are missing from this count, because they are registered to the leasing company.

#### You want the fleet of a group, not just one company

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
Find the connected companies of company [company ID] and analyze the fleet of those that operate vehicles.
```

{% endcode %}

In larger groups the vehicles may be registered to several companies, so the data for one company shows only part of the fleet. The assistant first finds the connected companies and then analyzes the fleet of those that operate vehicles. Each analysis costs credits, so in a large group start with the most closely connected companies. For more about ties between companies, see [Connected companies](/en/mcp-connector/connected-companies.md).

#### The company suddenly stopped registering new vehicles

Sometimes a company stops registering new vehicles from a certain year, even though it is still trading. This is not a data error. The vehicles most likely moved to operating leasing or fleet management (they stay registered to the provider), or another company in the group keeps them. The assistant says so in the answer and offers to look at the connected companies.

***

### Step 3: List the company's specific vehicles

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
List the vehicles of company [company ID], starting with the oldest. But first tell me how many there are.
```

{% endcode %}

In the list you see each vehicle's make and model, VIN, category, fuel type, year of first registration and the date the company acquired it. You also learn whether the company bought it as new, one year old or used, whether it is on financial leasing, whether it is premium and whether it is imported. A value missing in the register does not appear in the list.

For a vehicle the company owns but another company operates, you see who operates it. For a leasing company these are usually its customers.

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-74e19b218fbf12e07a8dee6d3ec58b1f84cfbd21%2Fvozovy-park-ukazka-vypis.png?alt=media" alt="A selection of 5 of the sample company&#x27;s 12 vehicles, sorted from the oldest (October 2026), with shortened VINs: a Škoda Felicia Combi from 2000 that has no VIN in the register; a Fiat Dobló from 2011 operated by a connected company; a Hyundai Tucson from 2022 on financial leasing; a Mazda CX-80 from 2025; a Škoda Superb from 2026."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;

You can sort the vehicles in four ways: most recently acquired, longest held, oldest first or youngest first. The list contains only the vehicles the company has today, and you see at most 20 at a time. For a fleet with hundreds of vehicles, first ask how many there are, narrow the selection ("only Volkswagens up to three years old") and only then ask for the list.

***

### Step 4: Open the detail of one vehicle

{% code overflow="wrap" %}

```
What do you know about the vehicle with VIN [VIN]? I am interested in the technical data, technical inspections and which companies owned or operated it.
```

{% endcode %}

The connector returns the vehicle's technical data (power, fuel type, top speed, weight, length, number of seats, estimated operating area) and its technical inspection history, including when the last one expires. You also see the periods in which individual companies owned or operated the vehicle, whether they acquired it as new, one year old or used and whether they had it on financial leasing. Mileage and transmission are not in the vehicle detail.

&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://247275268-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FYkl7SJ14Nk0vzhVx7upl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-eb3767e639bc091f8fb93427613b90d650bdfbc2%2Fvozovy-park-detail-vozidla.png?alt=media" alt="Detail of a Toyota Auris estate (sample from October 2026, company names anonymized): technical data (97 kW, petrol, 1,598 cm³, 195 km/h, 1,280 kg, 4,595 mm, 5 seats, estimated operating area Olomouc), technical inspections with the last one valid until 29 July 2027, and history: the owner was a leasing company from 2019 to 2022, from 2022 company A, which has operated the vehicle since 2019, on financial leasing until 2022."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

&#x20;

You find a vehicle by VIN, not by registration plate. You get the VIN from the vehicle list (Step 3), from Prospector or from the customer. You can open the detail even for a listed vehicle that has no VIN in the register. Write: "Open the detail of the third vehicle in the list." Vehicles also have their own profile in Prospector. See [Vehicle profile: the history of a single vehicle](/en/advanced-features/vehicle-profile.md).

Example of use: a service center checks its customers' vehicles by VIN, finds out whose technical inspection expires in the coming months, and gets in touch in time.

### How to read the answer

| Item                            | What it means                                                                                                                                                                                                                         |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Owned and operated vehicles | A company may own a vehicle and not operate it, for example when it rents it out. Or it may operate a vehicle that someone else owns. In fleet data the connector always states whether the figures cover owned or operated vehicles. |
| Current and previous fleet | The current fleet consists of the vehicles the company has today. The previous fleet consists of those it has already sold or retired. From these you can tell at what age the company usually replaces vehicles. |
| Acquisition type | A new, one-year-old (used, less than one year old when acquired) or used vehicle. In the answer, the connector labels a one-year-old vehicle as "acquired 1 year old". |
| Typical age | Half of the vehicles are younger and half are older than this value. Unlike an average, it is not distorted by one very old vehicle. We calculate age at acquisition and holding period the same way. |
| Holding period | How long the company has or had the vehicle. For the current fleet this is the time held so far, not a completed cycle. |
| Reliability of the figure | For data on sold and retired vehicles the assistant states the reliability (high, medium or low) based on how many vehicles it rests on. With low reliability, read the figure as a direction only. |
| Category "subtype not recorded" | Vehicles for which the register records only the main category, for example truck, without further detail. |
| Off-road versions (M1G, N1G) | The data keeps them separate. When you ask about passenger cars, the assistant includes the off-road version M1G; off-road vans N1G belong with vans. |

***

### What limitations to expect

* **You do not see vehicles on operating leasing at the company.** They are registered to the leasing company. When a company stops registering new vehicles, the assistant can point out that it may have moved to operating leasing.
* **The renewal estimate is based on age.** Mileage is not part of the fleet analysis. You can filter by the last known mileage band when you search for Czech companies (Step 1).
* **Search works with today's fleet.** A company that once operated the model but no longer does will not appear in the results.
* **The connector does not produce market overviews.** It does not answer "Which trailer makes have the largest market share?", because it returns companies, not market shares by make.
* **We update the data once a month.**

***

### Where is the data available?

Fleet data comes from government vehicle registers. As of October 2026, it is available for companies from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. For companies from Poland, Hungary and Germany, neither the MCP connector nor Prospector offers it. Slovak data is somewhat less complete: search has fewer filters, and there are few records of vehicles the company has already sold or disposed of. For Slovak companies, the renewal estimate is therefore only indicative.

***

### Frequently asked questions

**Why do I see a different vehicle count than on the company profile in Prospector?** The profile shows the vehicle count captured at one moment. The connector counts from the individual vehicle records and always states whether the figures cover owned or operated vehicles. The difference comes from timing and the method of calculation. It is not an error.

**Can I save the selected companies to a label?** Yes. Write: "Save the companies from the previous answer that buy new vehicles to the label 'New vehicles \[month]'." The label is created directly in Prospector.
